| -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Warm ups 135x10 225x10 315x10 Added green and gray bands 405x3 515x3 605x3(with belt & convict pro knee wraps) 695x2 (this was still light so I did two more sets and called it good)
Leg Presses 500x20 620x20 850x10 1020x10 1140x10(light knee wraps convict pros) 1290x10 1390x10 1475x8 (felt easy so i figured better stop before injuries lol)
This was a good day gettingstarted back into heavy lifting after lighter and higher reps. This is the start of my training for 1000 pound squat in a singl;e ply suit and no briefs and around 250-260. I think it will be an accomplishment in a few more good months. This squat day was 252 pounds bodyweight(6' tall) | |

| got some light warmups out of the way so I could start trying to break in my new APEX. Started the shirted bench: 405x5 455x3 500x3 Kept doing these kinds of reps trying to get down to at least a 3 board but no dice yet. The shirt is going to be my easy ticket to 700 ina singleply at my next meet(and it isnt even a very tight shirt!)APT did their homework on this one. Now if we can get them to make us a squat suit...... | |

| INSANE SQUATTING!
And here I am hoping for a 600lb squat at 242 raw! WOW!
Should put together or put up a post about squat tips and protocols you follow!!! I know plenty about pushing and pulling but i HATE squatting and I think that's the number one thing holding me back. How often do you squat versus deadlift, etc?
Do you feel that squatting in single ply gear helped your raw squat just by giving you a little extra support during heavy work to condition you to hold heavier numbers? | |

| HAHAHA I will post some tips. But overall I didn't use my suit very much at all other than overloading for the most part right now. Turns out it really did help my raw squat because I took the suit off and could still hit in the 7s and 8s with knee wraps. APTs belts are awesome too. I use their super heavy 13mm. Im bulking a little now to get the strength up right now then cut a little body fat and go try to dominate a competition lol. One trick I will give you(well 2) is to get my body acquainted to ultra heavy weight is I will load up the bar to something I would REALLY work for raw and walk across the gym until I couldnt take another step. I also keep going up in weight and just literally SIT at the bottom for 5-10 seconds and build nasty strength out of the hole. I will post some vids hopefully this week of these methods. Everyone that trains with me does this and gets crazy strong. Hope that helps! Steve Bly Jr | |
