This edition of Beineke Strength & Conditioning journal chronicles the Max Effort lower body workout in the second training cycle for the semi pro football offseason training group. As many of you have read in previous editions, we are using the Russian Conjugate style of periodization, so our exercises are changed out every 3 weeks. In the last edition I focused on our dynamic effort lower body effort workout from training cycle 1, where we focused on speed strength. In max effort workouts, the total weight lifted is the primary concern, without concern for how fast the weight is lifted.
